CECAP Network Alliance Conference

CECAP held its first Network Alliance Conference where the program’s call to action statement was introduced. Representatives from the Department of Health and World Health Organization provided insightful messages about their organizations’ initiative for cervical cancer prevention. Congresswoman Cynthia Villar’s daughter, Ms. Camille Villar, read a speech urging partners to fully commit to the cause of CECAP. She emphasized the importance of a minute in deciding to put a stop to cervical cancer. She also mentioned that there are varied options for preventing the disease but the will to make the initial step is crucial. The said event also gathered CECAP’s alliances from the public and private sector and professional groups resulting to 121 participants and 20 working staff. An important aspect of the event is the presentation of CECAP’s accomplishments that highlighted the program’s contribution to cervical cancer prevention. This was presented by Dr. Genara Manuel-Limson, CECAP’s Adviser.

The conference also became an avenue to share CECAP sites best practices. Taytay, Muntinlupa, Minglanilla and Cagayan de Oro (CDO) made an audio-visual and poster presentation to highlight their local CECAP initiatives.
